NFPS.AI - Spaghetti Towers & Starting From Scratch
Welcome to NFPs.AI – your new hub for AI learning tailored for not-for-profit organisations.
In our latest article, we explore an interesting experiment: kindergartners outperforming MBA students in a challenge to build the tallest structure with spaghetti sticks and a marshmallow. The kids, unlike the MBA students, dived right in – experimenting, making mistakes, learning, and iterating. Their playful, experimental approach led them to success, and in this story, we find a powerful lesson for embracing AI in the not-for-profit sector.
In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, we’re frequently faced with unfamiliar tools and challenges – much like a bunch of spaghetti sticks and a marshmallow. The kindergartner’s method – a fearless willingness to experiment and learn – is exactly the approach we need when dealing with AI. It’s about moving from “What if we could use AI to cut costs, save time, and increase our impact?” to “How can we use AI to do this?”
Let’s be kindergartners in the world of AI: experimenting, learning, and building our spaghetti and marshmallow towers together!
What Can AI?
Welcome to our series "What Can AI?". Each week, we delve into how AI can solve specific problems or challenges in the not-for-profit sector. We were initially going to kick off with a tutorial on creating a Mid-Journey Infinite Zoom video for compelling storytelling. However, upon receiving requests from some subscribers, I decided that the best place to start is at the very beginning: showing you how to get started with AI tools.
So, this week, we have not one, but two video tutorials for you. You'll learn how to set up accounts with ChatGPT and Midjourney. Both these AI tools can be immensely useful for your not-for-profit, and getting started is easier than you might think! Our tutorials knowledge base will continue to grow and evolve, with fresh updates every week. And don't worry, the Infinite Zoom tutorial is still on our list and will be featured in a future edition.
As always, we want to ensure this series addresses your needs. So please, keep the emails coming and let us know the challenges you'd like us to tackle.
Welcome to "AI Toolkit" where every week, we'll be diving deep into a specific AI tool that holds enormous potential for not-for-profit organisations. Our goal is to demystify these tools, showcasing their practical applications, and making them accessible for all, no matter your tech proficiency.
We're kicking off this exciting journey with a tool you might have heard of - ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI.
: Imagine having a personal assistant that can write articles, answer questions, create engaging content, and even generate ideas - all based on a few prompts you provide. That's what ChatGPT can do. As a powerful language model, it uses machine learning to produce human-like text. For not-for-profits, it can be an invaluable tool to increase efficiency, save time, and boost creativity. Whether you're looking to write compelling donor outreach emails or create engaging content for social media, ChatGPT can help turn your ideas into reality. Sign up
